Large antique Italian Maria Magdalena Martinego Capuccina medal depicting the her at the holy altar with a crucifix, skull and spray of flowers. On the reverse is The Blessed Mother Virgin Mary.
Measures 1.90" in diameter and weighs 58 grams

Mary Magdalene was born in the Martinengo ducal palace to a noble family at Brescia in 1687. She entered the convent of the Capuchinesses in 1705. In her writings she left much valuable teaching about the spiritual life and was known for her charismatic gifts. She died in 1737 and was beatiﬁed by Pope Leo XIII in 1900.
