Antique French Mother Mary Medals with Crucifix
This stunning antique French trio includes two outstanding medallions and a crucifix.
The Holy Heart medallion features a heavenly depiction of Mother Mary and Jesus Christ inside a Holy Heart. On the reverse is the profile of St John Eudes with the Sacred Heart of Jesus resting in his hand. Saint Eudes was an ardent proponent of the Sacred Hearts and dedicated himself to its promotion and celebration. Eudes was also a prolific writer and wrote on the Sacred Hearts despite opposition from the Jansenists. The medal measures .75"W x 1"L (including the loop and bail) / weight - 3.90 grams
The Queen of Heaven medal is adorned with a rich array of spiritual details including the Immaculate Heart of Mary, The Sacred Heart of Jesus and ornate cherubs. An absolute spiritual treasure! The crucifix is true perfection and features a high relief depiction of Christ on The Holy Cross with an ornate leaf motif. Measures .70" x 1.35" / weight - 2.40 grams
