Rare antique French Seven Sorrows of Mary medallion in solid sterling silver. This Our Lady of Sorrows medallion features an ethereal depiction of The Blessed Mother Mary and is filled with spiritual symbolism. Along the border is sculptural font which translates to "Behold your Mother / Pray for us, most sorrowful virgin". On reverse are lovely engraved initials along with the date April 10, 1905. The rest between a single lily and a single rose. The lily represents purity and the rose is symbolic of eternal love.
