Antique 18k gold French Saint Joan of Arc pendant medal

To the front of this rare 18k gold medal is a regal profile of Saint Joan of Arc in her battle armor with her holy banner in the background. The reverse side of the medallion is quite stunning - featuring an etching of the sword of deliverance and two fleurs-de-lys from her coat of arms (symbolic of loyalty, determination and the triumph of humanity). The yellow gold medallion floats in the center of a light toned rose gold frame.

Condition - good overall antique condition with a slight indentation on the upper left reverse side and a surface scratch on the right reverse near the fleur de lis
